I would personally like to invite you on a Journey through time, a journey that will bring you from early Christin times and the annals of Innis fallen to Modern Day Killarney with its busy shops and pubs.
On our walk’s you will hear about the arrival of Queen Victoria, 6.30 pm on the evening of Monday, 26 August 1861, the Royal train arrived in Killarney from Dublin and how Queen Victoria put Killarney firmly on the tourist map.

Introduction to Killarney – a one Hour Tour Through the town of Killarney, Ideal for Visitors who would like a general Introduction to the town with a Professional Guide.
Highlights of Killarney – a two and a half hour tour taking in the History of “Killarney House and Gardens” and “St Mary’s Cathedral” Returning to The Great Southern Hotel.

We learn of the lives of Monsignor Hugh O’Flaherty and Tom Crean – The Irish Antarctic Explorer,magnificent MacGillycuddy Reeks, the breath-taking Lakes of Killarney, and Killarney National Park whilst learning about the history, legend and folklore of the area.

- Visit to St. Marys Cathedral
- Return from St Marys Cathedral to the Great Southern Hotel by Traditional Jaunting Car / horse and carriage

Dermot’s career started as a chef after Graduating from Cathal Brugha Street in the culinary art The Love of travel brought him too many worldwide Destinations, after 12 years in Australia Dermot returned to Ireland where he launched a career in the Tourism and Transport sector.
Graduated with a Degree in Marketing and Public Relations from UCD, Dermot also graduated from University College Cork

Yes we offer an age Friendly Discount to our seniors, our walking tour is moderately paced to suite all ages
Are the tours wheelchair accessible?
Yes, we have planned out a walking route which is wheelchair friendly, unfortunately, due to the strict sizing regulations of the Jaunting Cars in relation to operating in a protected area, the Cars are currently Not wheelchair accessible.
Where do I meet my tour guide?
Our walking tours all leave from the same location, Killarney Court House, V93 YE27
Weather
Rain or shine, the tour is on. Our guides will know a suitable shelter for very heavy showers. Given our climate, as you might expect, no ticket can be cancelled or refunded by you at any time based on weather conditions

Our Tour Tickets are available for purchases and can be used at any time, and are Transferable Therefor we do not offer a refund at any time
For our private tours we will offer a full refund for cancellations received at least one week before the tour commences,

If you enjoyed your Tour we recommend you leave a small Tip of €5 Euros per person. You may choose to tip more for an excellent tour.
